چکیده

A novel precast concrete beam connected using double-grouted sleeves was developed to reduce pouring on-site and expedite construction. This paper presents a systematic experimental study on the flexural behaviour of beams subjected three-point four-point bending. In total, 11 specimens with different types grouted sleeves, diameters lower transition bar, filler lengths, numbers filler, connection lengths sleeve, two cast-in-situ were tested. The results indicated that steel in performed satisfactorily, threads aided increasing their initial stiffness. first cracking load all prefabricated than reference owing interface effect. With an increase diameter yield ultimate bearing capacities specimen under bending increased by 9.0% 21.0%, respectively. exhibited better ductility maximum crack widths 41.2% 28.6% larger bending, stress concentration region occurred discontinuous stiffness but decreased bar. double achieved slightly normal service limit cast-in-place beam. As length 20 mm, width 55.6%. method for adequate calculating load-bearing capacity or single-grouted sleeve.

Numerical Study on the Flexural Behaviour of Concrete Beams Reinforced by GFRP Bars

Enhancement of the response of reinforced concrete (RC) beams using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement bars has become a popular structural technique over the past two decades due to the well-known advantages of FRP composites including their high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance. Thisstudy presents n...

Flexural Behaviour of RCC Beams

Concrete is the material which is rapidly used in various conditions to sustain the compression loads and the corresponding bending and shear stress due to the applied compressive loads. The major drawback in concrete is that it is poor in tension though it is very efficient in compression. Hence to overcome this major drawback the concrete must be reinforced such that to make a homogeneous sub...

Effect of Incorporating Foamed Glass on the Flexural Behaviour of Reinforced Concrete Beams

The flexural behaviour of concrete containing Foamed glass as partial replacement of coarse aggregate is investigated. The coarse aggregate was replaced with 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% Foamed glass. All other constituents were maintained the same. Reinforced concrete beams were cast using 2 bars of 8mm in diameter in the tensile zone. The density and compressive strength of concrete decreased a...

Flexural Testing of High Strength Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with CFRP Sheets

The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of externally bonded CFRP sheets to increase the flexural strength of reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) beams. Four-point bending flexural tests to complete failure on six concrete beams, strengthened with different layouts of CFRP sheets were conducted. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) models were adopted by A...
